This evergreen provides interest with its year-round color. In spring its leaves are lime green, in summer they are medium green, from fall through winter they are fire-red on the dense globe shape bamboo shrub. Bringing out the other colors of the landscape. Excellent selection for colorful groupings, mass plantings, landscape borders, foundations line walkways, paths and container plant. Also known as Fire Power Heavenly Bamboo, and Nandina Fire Power. Planting-General Likes clay (amended), loam, sandy and silty. Well drained moist to dry soil moisture. Soil pH in the 6-7.5 range, slightly acid to slightly alkaline.
Planting-Spacing Plant 2 Feet apart for solid hedges, or mass planting; 4 feet or more apart for space between plants.
Watering Very low once established. Can add Root Stimulation which helps early root development and strengths roots, as well as, reduces plant shock when planting.
Fertilizing Feed in early spring and again in mid fall with slow release fertilize for shrubs & trees. 
Pruning Not required. However, can cut the longer canes to prevent its form becoming leggy.
Deer Deer do not favor their taste. If in a high deer area, spray every 3 to 6 months with deer repellent.
Flowers

No flowers or fruits are formed.
