Watering Fairly drought tolerant and should not need extra watering unless unusually dry Spring or Summer. Provide at least 1" of water per week, either through rainfall or with a hose. Can add Root Stimulation which helps early root development and strengths roots, as well as, reduces plant shock.
Fertilizing Feed with general purpose fertilizer every year or two in Spring. Spread it over the root area and water in. Can also use a layer of compost as a slow release fertilizer.
Pruning Not much needed. Remove branches selectively rather than shearing. Can prune early Spring before new growth starts to control growth or shape. Always use clean shears to avoid possibly spreading diseases.
