| Planting-General | Dig hole 1 times the root ball deep, and 2-3 times wide as the root ball. Likes well drained lightly moist soil. Good with sand, loam, clay (amended) or silt soil. Soil pH range of 6.0-7.5. Likes slightly acidic to neutral soil. Mulch to prevent soil from drying out or getting too hot. Mulch about 2-3" deep at all times. |

| Watering | Low once established. Regular watering schedule during first growing season to establish deep roots. More often in extreme heat or containers. Its roots do not like wet soil.
