Bought 2 tea olive shrubs from him. They were and still are so healthy! He provided written directions on care and planting. That was so helpful since I'm a novice. I'll be back! Gayle T.

Planting-General Dig hole 1 times the root ball deep, and 2-3 times wide as the root ball. Likes well drained lightly moist soil. Good with sand, loam, clay (amended) or silt soil. Soil pH range of 6.0-7.5. Likes slightly acidic to neutral soil. Mulch to prevent soil from drying out or getting too hot. Mulch about 2-3" deep at all times.
Planting-Spacing Plant 4Ft. apart for tight hedge, center to center. Or 8Ft. apart for wider spacing.
Watering Low once established. Regular watering schedule during first growing season to establish deep roots. More often in extreme heat or containers. Its roots do not like wet soil. Can add Root Stimulation which helps early root development and strengths roots, as well as, reduces plant shock.
Fertilizing Feed with acid fertilizer in early Spring, and late Summer. Keep roots cool with a layer of mulch to retain moisture during heat of Summer and colder months of Winter.
Pruning May be pruned in early Spring (before new growth starts) or late Winter to encourage bushier growth. Always use clean shears to avoid possibly spreading diseases.
Deer Deer do not favor their taste. If in a high deer area, spray every 3 to 6 months with deer repellent.
