Height 5-10Ft.
Width 4-8Ft.
Planting- General Dig deep hole that’s large enough to accommodate its root ball, 2 to 3 times the width of the root ball. Prefers acid soil, but adapts to neutral soil even if it’s sandy or heavy in clay and well draining. Fine to add some mulch. Ensure mulch is not next to stems, as that would breed pests and diseases.
Planting-Spacing Plant about 4 feet apart, center to center.
Watering They do not like overly wet conditions, so only water when the soil is dry. Can add Root Stimulation which helps early root development and strengths roots, as well as, reduces plant shock.
Fertilizing Feed with acidic fertilizer at the beginning of every Spring and in the middle of Summer.
Pruning None needed. Prune if desired. Do not prune 2 months before first frost to avoid possible damage to new growth. Always use clean shears to avoid possibly spreading diseases.
Deer Deer do not favor their taste. If in a high deer area, spray every 3 to 6 months with deer repellent.
Flowers Not applicable.
