Jack Frost Ligustrum

(Ligustrum japonicum "Jack Frost")

Prized for its lovely green foliage with cream-white variegation as a striking broad leaved evergreen shrub with densely branched and spreading. Large glossy leave 1.5" to 4" long and at least 1" wide. Small 5-8" long fragrant white flowers followed in late summer, fall and winter as dark bluish-black berries for birds. Excellent selection for hedges, mixed border, foundations, or privacy screen, as well as, a container specimen. Also known as Jack Frost Privet. See Specifications below. Planting-General Likes a wide range of soil types. Some clay to some sand. Well drained, mulching recommended. Soil pH range 5.5 to 8.
Planting-Spacing Plant 3-4Ft. apart for most hedge, tight spacing up to 2.5-3Ft. apart.
Watering Very low once established. Can add Root Stimulation which helps early root development and strengths roots, as well as, reduces plant shock when planting.
Fertilizing Feed in early spring and again in mid fall with slow release fertilize for shrubs & trees. 
Pruning Should be trimmed after last frost.
Deer Deer do not favor their taste. If in a high deer area, spray every 3 to 6 months with deer repellent.
Flowers

Small fragrant white flowers followed in late summer, fall and winter as dark bluish-black berries for birds.
