Attractive fast growing large evergreen with very shinny foliage offering dark green, burgundy, orange and red colors. Small pale yellow flowers bloom in spring on its bushy dense upright shape. And offers a great option to disease prone Red Tip Photinia. Ideal for accent, frame corners, foundation, hedge, borders, privacy screen, and can be shaped into a small tree for a specimen. Planting-General Likes sand, loam, silt and clay (amended to ensure good drainage) soil. Well drained moist to dry once established. Soil pH range 5 to 7.
Planting-Spacing Plant 5-6 Feet apart for solid hedge; 12 Feet plus, for space between shrubs.
Watering Average, low once established. Can add Root Stimulation which helps early root development and strengths roots, as well as, reduces plant shock when planting.
Fertilizing Feed in spring before new growth begins with slow release fertilize for shrubs & trees. 
Pruning Not required. Spring time to maintain shape. 
Deer Deer do not favor their taste. If in a high deer area, spray every 3 to 6 months with deer repellent.
