Limelight Hydrangea

(Hydrangea paniculata "Limelight")
Full Sun to Part Shade
 

Large 6-12" long dense cone-shaped clusters of creamy white florets that mature to chartreuse green in the midsummer weeks. As fall approaches, the sense flower panicles change to deep pink for a different look. Blossoms last longer than most other hydrangeas. Vigorous upright with rounded-form deciduous flowering shrub. Can grow up to 1-2 feet per year. Perfect selection for mass planting, mixed shrub border, or as an anchor in a wooded garden. See Specifications below. Shop the Limelight Hydrangea for sale. Special Features Large 6-12” long upright dense cone-shaped terminal panicles that flowers. Low maintenance. Heat, and drought tolerant (once established). Attracts butterflies.

Planting-General Dig hole large enough to accommodate the roots. Spread roots around and fill in with dirt so that the crown is at soil level. Likes well drained organically rich moisture retentive soil. Not picky about soil pH.
Planting-Spacing Plant 6 – 10 feet apart between each plant, center to center.
Watering Moderate water need once established. If a dry spell occurs, provide a deep watering once or twice a week to mimic rainfall. Can add Root Stimulation which helps early root development and strengths roots, as well as, reduces plant shock.
Fertilizing Feed in spring, and again in late summer.
Pruning Prune in late Fall, or early Spring. Very tolerant of a hard pruning. This will increase blooms later.
Deer Deer do favor their taste. If in a high deer area, spray every 3 to 6 months with deer repellent.
