Very popular fall blooming evergreen camellia variety, provides slightly scented large 3.0-4.0" wide double pedaled pure white with golden yellow stamens flowers from Fall to Mid Winter. Its upright form with glossy dark green leaves gives it great contrast to the striking display of flowers. Camellia's have long been a part of the southeastern United States, and a southern landscape tradition. Grow rate is about 1Ft. per year. | Planting-General | Dig hole 2 times wide and 2 times deep as the root ball. Likes loam, and silt. Clay or sand provided they are amended. Likes moist but well drained soil. Soil pH range is 5.5-6.5, thus slightly acidic soil. Fine to add some 1-2” of mulch, or 3-4” pine straw to conserve moisture and suppress weeds. |

| Watering | Average, low once established. Regular watering schedule during first growing season to establish deep roots. More often in extreme heat, or containers. Its roots do not like wet soil. Can add Root Stimulation which helps early root development and strengths roots, as well as, reduces plant shock. |
| Fertilizing | Feed with acid fertilizer in the Spring, after flowers fade. Keep roots cool with a layer of mulch to retain moisture during heat of Summer and colder months of Winter. |
