Miss Frances Crape Myrtle Tree (FUTURE)

This ornamental deciduous tree provides up to 100 days of vibrant true red large 7" long panicles from early to late Summer. Its foliage is lustrous, green leaves that turn a beautiful maroon in the Fall on a rounded, spreading shape canopy. Really stands out while few others can provide such colorful display. Attractive gray-orange color bark in Winter adds interest.  They grow at a fast rate of about 24" per year. A favorite among landscape designers and gardeners alike. Ideal specimen tree, groupings, rows lining your driveway or property, outdoor spaces like patio, decks for shade, framing corners of your home, and entry ways. Always a visual standout. Planting-General Likes sand, loam, silt and clay soil. Moist but well drained. Soil pH range 5.0 to 6.5. Slightly acidic is ideal, but  is fine with anything but extremely alkaline.
Planting-Spacing Plant 8-10Ft. apart for a solid hedge. 20Ft. + apart for individual look.
Watering Average, low once established. Can add Root Stimulation which helps early root development and strengths roots, as well as, reduces plant shock when planting.
Fertilizing Feed in early spring with slow release fertilize for shrubs & trees. 
Pruning Not required. Do not cut them back to the "knuckles/fists" as this results in less flowers and longer branches. Instead, prune in late winter or early spring, just prior to new growth. Do not prune in November or December as they can put on new growth and if a freeze occurs then they could be damaged.
Deer Deer do not favor their taste. If in a high deer area, spray every 3 to 6 months with deer repellent.
