Fastest growing and very dependable of all the tall hollies. Produces bright red berries in the fall and all the way through winter for various birds to enjoy. Small white flowers appear in the spring among its dense pyramid dark blue-green leaves. Cardinals eat the red berries, and the berries give the males their red color. The white flowers attracts pollinators. Perfect selection for privacy screen, focal point specimen, border, or as an anchor in a wooded garden. Great for an outdoor Christmas tree. Sun Full Sun – Mostly Sun.  Morning Sun with afternoon Shade, or Morning Shade with afternoon Sun (4 hours or more of direct Sun).

Width 12-15Ft.
Planting-General Dig hole the size of the root ball deep and 3 times wide as the root ball. Likes clay, loam, sand, and silt soil. Moist to well drained soil. Soil pH range 5.5 to 6.5, thus acidic soil. Mulch to prevent soil from drying out or getting too hot. Mulch about 2 to 3 inches deep at all times.
Planting-Spacing Plant 6-8Ft. apart for tight solid hedge/screen, center to center.18Ft or more apart between shrubs, center to center.
Watering Average to Low once established. Regular watering schedule during first growing season to establish deep roots. More often in extreme heat or containers. Its roots do not like wet soil. Can add Root Stimulation which helps early root development and strengths roots, as well as, reduces plant shock.
Fertilizing Feed with acid fertilizer in early Spring. Optional in early Summer for screening growth. Keep roots cool with a layer of mulch to retain moisture during heat of Summer and colder months of Winter.
Pruning None needed. Remove dead limbs as needed. Always use clean shears to avoid possibly spreading diseases.
Deer Deer do not favor their taste. If in a high deer area, spray every 3 to 6 months with deer repellent.
Flowers Small white flowers in Spring.
