Attractive and tough evergreen with beautiful 4" long gray-green leaves with a cream-white edge. And 2" to 3" orange-scented fragrant clusters in spring. A very desirable dense foliage, and mounded form that adapts to many growing conditions, making it a very popular shrub, especially in the costal areas because it is salt resistant. Ideal for hedge, lining walk or driveway, along a wall, edge of deck or patio, backdrop to smaller plants in garden bed, barrier, border, and foundation planting. See Specifications below. Other Names Japanese Pittosporum, Australian Laurel, Mockorange, Mock Orange.
Special Features Very low maintenance, and very hardy. Salt, drought, heat, humidity, slope, wind, rabbits, and deer resistant. Ideal for costal locations since it is salt resistant. Orange scented fragrant cream white 2" to 3" wide flower clusters.

Growth Rate Fast. Up to 24" per year maximum.

Planting-General Mostly sand to some clay. Like well drained soil. Soil pH of 4.5 to 8.5. 
Planting-Spacing Plant 3Ft. apart for solid hedge. About 2.5 to 3Ft. from your house. Along drive, or walkway come in 3Ft.
Watering Regularly until established. Not a lot, once established. Likes dry to moist. Do not over water. Can add Root Stimulation which helps early root development and strengths roots, as well as, reduces plant shock when planting.
Fertilizing Feed in spring. Once well established can do fine without any feeding. Feed with slow release fertilize for shrubs & trees.
Pruning Allowed to keep smaller. Heavy and frequency may impact the fragrant flowers.
Deer Deer do not favor their taste. However, hungry deer nibble. If in a high deer area, spray every 3 to 6 months with deer repellent.
Flowers

Orange blossom scented fragrant cream white 2" to 3" wide clusters appear early to mid spring.
