Long lived (200 years), beautiful, large, fast-growing deciduous tree with oval to rounded shape. Boasts narrow willow like leaves about 5" long that are bright green in Spring, changes to deeper green in Summer, to shades of bronze, yellow and orange in Fall. Item Description
Special Features Long life, dense symmetrical canopy for shade and aesthetic appeal. Attracts birds, wildlife and mammals. Provides 1/2" oval acorns for mammals to eat. Disease heat, insect, wet soil resistant, and low maintenance.

Growth Rate Fast, 1-3Ft. per year once established
Sun Full Sun – Light Shade. Needs at least 6 hours of direct, unfiltered sunlight per day.
Height 40-75Ft.
Width 25-50Ft.
Planting-General Dig hole 3 times wide as the root ball and a little deeper as the root ball. Likes moist but well-drained soil. Likes clay, loam, and sandy soil. Likes acidic soil, 4.5 to 5.5 pH level. Will grow in Neutral soil, avoid alkaline soil.
Planting-Spacing Plant 60+Ft. from each other
Watering Average water needs. Can add Root Stimulation which helps early root development and strengths roots, as well as, reduces plant shock.
Fertilizing Feed with a balanced tree and shrub fertilizer starting in the Spring. Slow release types are fine.
Pruning No need to prune. Remove dead, or damaged branches, crossing or rubbing branches to improve airflow. Prune in early Spring, or late Winter before new growth starts.
Deer Deer do eat the acorns. If in a high deer area, spray every 3 to 6 months with deer repellent.
Flowers Inconspicuous yellow/green (male), white (female) flowers in the Spring with no smell. Both on the same tree.
