Little Gem Magnolia
(Magnolia grandiflora "Little Gem" Southern Magnolia)

This dwarf version magnolia evergreen
offers 6 to 8 inch wide creamy white flowers with lemony-fresh fragrance like
all Southern Magnolia trees, but flowers much earlier then the larger magnolias,
starting at only 2 years compared to 5 or more years. And it blooms for a longer
period than the larger magnolias from late spring to frost. Grow rate is about 2
to 3 times faster than the larger magnolias, while offering the same conical
dense upright shape with dark green smooth shiny leathery oblong-elliptic 5 inch
long foliage with copper-orange undersides. Very popular for small spaces,
native species to the southeastern United States, and a southern landscape
tradition.

provides 3-4" diameter white bracts in Mid-Spring surrounding a small cluster of
yellow-green flowers that give way to orange-red berries in Summer until eaten

rich green that turns to shades of rich red to purple-red in the Fall on a
broad, upright rounded shape canopy. Mature trees display an attractive
scaly gray to dark gray, or brown bark in Winter that adds interest. They grow at a rate of about

Red Maple Tree (FUTURE)

This North American native deciduous tree
provides rich green
foliage
during the warm season, turning shades of orange, yellow, red among cooler
temperatures in early to mid Fall. Small clusters of reddish flowers appear in
late Winter to early Spring for the pollinators to enjoy. Following the flowers
come red, or green winged seeds (helicopters) that fall to the ground, often
enjoyed by birds and squirrels alike. Its upright, rounded to oval shape makes a

Long lived (200 years), beautiful, large, fast-growing
deciduous tree
with oval to rounded shape. Boasts narrow willow like leaves about 5" long that
are bright green in Spring, changes to deeper green in Summer, to shades of
bronze, yellow and orange in Fall. Excellent shade tree for your home, outdoor
